Facebook & Instagram

Again?
I know we already covered Facebook and Instagram earlier in this course, but that was just a tidbit of the digital marketing aspect of it.
As you most likely know, Facebook and Instagram are two of the larger social media platforms to have ever existed, and Beacon House Thrift Shop utilizes both of them. It’s a beautiful partnership!
We find that each platform has its own advantages, and we take advantage of both to reach the most people possible.
On Facebook, we can share a broader range of media, including photos, videos, articles, website links, and surveys. This allows us to give potential customers a better idea of who we are and what we sell. We also use Facebook to run special promotions and sales, which helps us move inventory quickly.
Instagram is an excellent platform for sharing photos and short videos, which is perfect for our thrift shop since we often have new, unique items coming in. We also use Instagram Stories to give our followers a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on in the shop and to show off some of our latest finds and the men of The Beacon House!
As mentioned in an earlier lesson, Facebook and Instagram are both owned by Meta. One of the significant advantages of this is we can actually create one Social Media post and then have that scheduled to publish to both our Facebook and Instagram pages at a set time/date. This convenience is possible thanks to the Facebook Business Manager.
So, there you have it! A little more on how we use Facebook and Instagram to market Beacon House Thrift Shop.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
