Introduction

Welcome to Leadership in Recovery

A leader can be easily defined as a motivator through challenging times and arenas, as well as being an example of the right actions to take. A successful leader does not command, instead he/she exemplifies by being willing to get their hands dirty to set the tone in whatever environment they are in.
This module is dedicated to the understanding of what a leader in recovery should look like and how to utilize these principles in the robust thrift store setting at the Beacon House. These tools will not only help you become a strong leader here, but will enable you to be an effective member of society upon exiting treatment and entering the world.
I personally have learned so much from my journey at the Beacon House and the BHTS and am excited to share my experience to help bring out the best in all of us. As Alcoholics in recovery, we have been wasting our potential for so long, and it is my goal in this module to assist you in achieving greatness and passing it on to the next man. That is what the program of AA is all about!

not upon vain displays of power or glory” (12 & 12 p. 124).

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Is the reality of your situation the problem, or do you just have a problem with reality?
