Hands on the merchandise?
You may ask yourself, how is it that our sales floor is always stocked with a healthy amount of items.
It’s not a coincidence. It is up to everyone on the team to be observant and communicate with our manager, our general manager, and our donation pick up team in order to maintain our inventory. Tuesdays and Sundays are our designated delivery days.
These days are also used for making runs to the warehouse in order to refill depleted inventory. An example of this would be:
While preparing your workspace for producing clothing, you notice that the gaylord is a quarter of the way full. You tell your manager for the day who then contacts the driver and lets him know we can take a gaylord of clothing. The driver then goes to the warehouse and delivers a load of clothing for production.
Managers in San Pedro also have the ability to contact the driver or the manager in Long Beach and refill inventory from our sales floor, especially when it comes to furniture.
